Scope of this Standard
This Trinidad and Tobago standard provides the minimum requirements for Bed and Breakfast and Self-Catering operating in Trinidad and Tobago. This standard includes requirements for: a) legal and operational obligations; b) safety and security; c) parking facilities; d) reception and guest facilities: e) health and sanitation; and f) conservation and sustainability. This standard does not apply to a) hotels and guest houses; b) private residences or apartments rented for periods exceeding one month; or c) premises used exclusively for the accommodation of persons in religious, educational or charitable organizations.
